Cadbury's Sweet Deals competition required Techsys to build a USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) for use with their competition.
Customers would purchase a Cadbury's chocolate and dial the USSD number to submit their barcode. By entering the product barcode the entrant would be entered for the main draw which stood them a chance of winning a R 1000 prize.
If they entered a valid scratch card number they stood to win R 10 in cellphone airtime. The campaign proved to be highly popular with consumers and helped reinforce the Cadbury brand.
