As part of their Christmas 2013 promotional activities, Markham approached Techsys to develop a holiday catalogue which showcases their latest clothing range. The objectives were to increase brand awareness as well as showcasing the new stock in store as well as generate excitement surrounding the brand.
The catalogue is fully responsive, and makes use of device detection so as to display either the mobile or desktop version of the catalogue. Mobile users were able to view a 12 page simplistic version of the original 7 page desktop catalogue.
When accessing the catalogue via mobile/ tablet or desktop devices, users are able to the version geared towards that device. Mobi users are able to enjoy a 12 page simplistic version of the 7 page interactive desktop/tablet catalogue. Each of these versions serves to show case 2 of Markham’s 2013 holiday collections, more specifically: Smart Tribe and Jungle is Massive.
Animation and sleek sliding functionality is used throughout the catalogue for a fun and user friendly experience, thus stimulating brand awareness and affinity. Desktop users are able to access animated styling tips and information. Furthermore users are able to share the catalogue online via Facebook and Twitter.
The catalogue enjoyed a massive 18 000 pageviews within the first week of launching.
