The Windhoek National Consumer Live 100% Wish List Facebook application comprised of two components. The first component was the Live 100% National SMS Line Promotion, in which five consumers stood to win a monthly “salary” of NAD20,000 for a year. The second was a wish list Facebook application which allowed consumers to write their 3 wishes, should they win the cash. The application allowed users to view other consumers’ wishes, building excitement around the promotion. In addition to the grand prize cash giveaways, fourteen random draws were conducted to reward interactors with the Facebook application with Windhoek hampers (four of which contained a cash prize of NAD1000). Awareness around the competition was driven by Facebook ads and organic shares.
